The Titan Jeans from DriRider are an excellent armoured jean alternative, featuring CE protection that can be readily removed for normal usage.  The DriRider Titan jeans are protective riding jeans that appear like ordinary fashion jeans, but are manufactured particularly for bikers.  In this case, it means they have a protective DuPont Kevlar liner that covers the "high impact" areas, as well as being supplied with CE-approved Level-2 knee pads.  There is the option to purchase separately either the 'D30 LP2 knee pads or the D30 Ghost Knee (extremely slim profile) pads' as well as being able to purchase D30 Ghost Hip protection that simply fits inside the hip pocket, inside the jeans.

The DriRider Titan jeans are excellent in terms of comfort, they are constructed of heavy-duty stretch denim and quickly conformed to a substantial frame.  On the safety front, DuPont Kevlar fiber-based fabric is used in the key impact zones, while Level-2 CE approved knee pads/armour is used in the knees, but may be removed if you want by simply opening the Velcro closure and removing them.  When you are riding your bike, the extra leg length ensures your pants won't bunch up and pull up past your boots, or up past your ankles if you're wearing regular-shaped shoes.
